Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their surety needs and provide appropriate solutions
Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions of surety bonds
Conduct thorough risk assessments and financial analyses to determine the suitability of clients for surety bonds
Prepare and present proposals to clients, explaining the benefits and terms of surety bonds
Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely renewals and addressing any issues that arise
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide informed advice to clients
Participate in networking events and industry conferences to promote the company's surety services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the surety industry
Strong knowledge of surety bonds, underwriting processes, and risk assessment
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Professional certifications such as AFSB (Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding) are a plus
High School Diploma Required
Some travel required
5 years of experience in surety and bonding, ideally within an independent insurance brokerage setting
Strong knowledge of surety products, underwriting, and industry regulations
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite
Results-driven with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high quality service
