Senior Account Executive

The Sales Senior Account Executive serves as the primary commercial contact for assigned customers, managing accounts and driving business growth while maintaining effective relationships with customer personnel.

Responsibilities
Assume full responsibility for assigned strategic accounts, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customer purchasing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to support existing business and identify growth opportunities
Represent HGC Industries in customer-facing engagements, including required travel to support ongoing business, address issues, and develop new opportunities
Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of customer quotations, sample submissions, and initial production shipments to ensure compliance with customer expectations
Serve as the primary commercial liaison between the customer and internal teams, facilitating the resolution of commercial, technical, engineering, and quality matters
Plan, coordinate, and execute visits to customer facilities and technical sites to ensure customer requirements and objectives are consistently achieved
Monitor and analyze business trends, market conditions, and competitive developments, and communicate relevant insights to internal stakeholders to guide business strategy
Actively support corporate objectives in the areas of quality, cost management, profitability, return on sales, productivity, customer service, and budget adherence
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of internal processes, products, and systems, as well as customer systems, and apply this knowledge to enhance business performance
Develop and implement sales forecasts, account strategies, and long-term growth plans while compiling and analyzing competitor and market intelligence
Prepare and deliver professional presentations to customers and internal leadership to communicate strategies, project updates, and business opportunities
Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and timely completion of objectives
Communicate evolving customer and market requirements to executive management to support product development and material innovation
Mentor and provide guidance to Account Managers and other team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development
Complete required training programs and continuing education to maintain professional competence and technical knowledge
Exercise authority to identify, prevent, and resolve product, process, or quality non-conformities, including the authority to halt work on non-conforming or suspect products until corrective action is implemented
Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, reporting and, when necessary, stopping any activity that may pose a risk of non-compliance or injury
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support business and customer objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or any other related field, preferably within the automotive, manufacturing, or industrial products sector
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficient math skills, including unit-of-measure conversion calculations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to efficiently manage priorities and tasks based on importance
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to navigate and resolve internal or external situations effectively and resourcefully
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, co-workers, and HGC Industries partners
High adaptive capacity to effectively manage demands and frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Preferred
5+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred
