Field Service Engineer - PV Inverters

Responsibilities

Provide service, maintenance, and warranty remediation for installed PV inverters
Provide technical and after-sales support to customers, including assistance during installation, commissioning and start-up, firmware upgrades, set-up of monitoring solutions as well as equipment and parts replacement
Ensure fulfillment of all necessary documentation and material/parts request process for material handling
Perform Preventative Maintenance for Equipment when and where applicable
Serves as phone support for technical issues (Help Desk services)
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, professional oral and written communication skills and fantastic organization, planning, time, and project management

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
3+ years related work experience
Extensive experience in positions of autonomy within the energy or similar industry
This position is a remote position and requires 80% travel
Valid US driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Working knowledge of power systems, power electronics and controls
Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc
This position must be based remotely within the contiguous United States to support the geography of EA's business partners
Legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience and hands-on knowledge of best practices in the solar PV inverter arena
Journeyman Electrician license
