Site Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee the full lifecycle of cell: assembly, commissioning, start-up and final process acceptance
Manage daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, budget and schedule adherence
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field service teams to ensure timely delivery and execution
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer on-site
Maintain strong communication with the customer and internal stakeholders
Deliver high support with strong customer experience mindset
Address concerns with a high sense of urgency and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the project
Oversee all aspects of contract management on site, ensuring compliance with contractual terms with the customer and suppliers (internal and external)
Monitor contractual obligations, manage amendments or change orders, and coordinate contract documentation with the head office
Maintain an updated log of all activities and aspects of the project that might have contractual implications
Identify and anticipate contractual risks, propose solutions in case of disputes or non-compliance, and ensure traceability of all contractual communications
Make sure customers’ expectations are always aligned with internal commitments
Work closely with legal and procurement teams for any contract-related or compliance matters
Communicate and validate engineering issues or requested modifications
Align project schedules and milestones
Coordinate with head office procurement activities and ensure timely shipments
Dynamic follow-up with head office departments such as purchasing and engineering for project related deliveries
Escalate and resolve technical or logistical issues
Manage local procurement activities, including sourcing and vendor coordination
Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and services required for site operations
Coordinate internal and external resources, including subcontractors and suppliers
Manpower schedule including internal, external and customer resources
Track progress against project milestones and budgets
Prepare and present regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders
Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively

Required

Strong sense of ownership and setting that example for the team
Capacity to coordinate a project with multiple international stakeholders
Proven 5 years' experience in industrial project management, preferably in metal cutting or manufacturing environments
Strong appetite and experience for high precision mechanics and advanced machine tools technology
Strong knowledge of assembly, commissioning and start-up processes for manufacturing equipment
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Solutions orientated, proactive in troubleshooting processes
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex logistics
Strong commitment and know-how to deliver exceptional customer experience

Preferred

Active PMP Certification is a bonus but not required
Lean, Six Sigma, or related operational improvement credentials
Technical certifications in machine tool operation or industrial maintenance a plus
