Fabrication Shop Intern
McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. They are seeking a Fabrication Shop Intern who will be involved in hands-on experience and mentorship, contributing to process improvements and daily operations in the fabrication shop.

Responsibilities
Creating and implementing process improvements in the shop
Supporting day-to-day shop operations
Exploring technology applications within the fabrication workspace
Problem-solving using various programs
Qualification
Required
College Junior or higher standing, working toward a Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing degree or related field
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, juggle multiple assignments, and maintain attention to accuracy and detail
Availability in Summer 2026 (May/June start until August/September depending on school)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred
Working knowledge of SharePoint
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit
