Building Engineer I
Kedren Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer I to perform a variety of building maintenance duties. The role includes repairing and maintaining facilities and equipment associated with the center, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities
Perform semi-skilled craft related work in such areas as carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, plumbing, sheet metal, and refrigeration in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings, facilities, and equipment
Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, including heating/air conditioning, laundry, kitchen, medical water systems, pool, sewage disposal, low pressure boilers, and other facility related equipment
Perform minor welding; operates wood and metal working equipment, grounds maintenance equipment, tractors, trucks, and automobiles
May assist in planning of duties for resident workers in a vocational training program
May perform scheduling work and requisitioning of supplies and materials; maintains files and records and makes reports on work performed as required
Practice confidentiality in all client, employee, and management related matters
Assist in preserving Kedren’s mission, goals, and objectives; and help management in establishing its internal service delivery goals and objectives that are consistent with the organization’s public service mission statement
Participate in the fundraising activities of Kedren
Assist in other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, lift, and reach using required safety techniques
Must be organized and detail oriented
Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of management and associates while building strong relationships
Must have the ability to problem solve, meet deadlines and follow through on work assignments in a fast-paced environment
The ability to work overtime and/or additional days on special projects as needed
Preferred
Previous experience in general building maintenance in a psychiatric healthcare environment preferred or a related environment
