Responsibilities
Organic strategic initiative execution: work on cross-functional project teams to manage and execute top-priority strategic initiatives
Support long-term strategy development, identify, and prioritize business opportunities/projects
Drive specific corporate (Mergers & Acquisitions) and business (partnership) development activities
Provide thought leadership and oversee various business intelligence activities
Expected to become an expert over time in farm and ranch retail and use this knowledge to inform our efforts
Responsible for working with 3rd party consulting organizations and external vendors as required
Qualification
Required
2 - 3 years of related experience
Full-time work experience and/or internships in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG), consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, and/or corporate development a plus
Bachelor's degree required
Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred
Comfort with (and excitement about) highly ambiguous problems, cross-functional teamwork, and regularly shifting priority set
Strong analytical skills and financial analysis literacy
Ability to foster strong internal relationships with stakeholders across the business to partner on initiatives and provide ongoing advisory support
Well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
Passion for retail
Experience working with and influencing stakeholders well above own tenure / level, as well as Team Members in very different roles (e.g., front-line) a plus
