Responsibilities
Develop specifications of optical components, including camera lenses, module housing, camera shroud, and vehicle windshield
Work with the supply chain partners to build and validate optical components
Design lab test protocols and image quality metrics for in-house product validation at component and subsystem levels
Document evidence and participate in the cross-functional decision making process
Qualification
Required
BS/MS/PhD in optics, physics, or related technical fields
5+ years of camera work experience
Mastering optical simulation tools such as Ansys Zemax OpticStudio and SPEOS
Hands-on experience in optical metrology and camera characterization
Experience in opto-mechanical system assembly and packaging, tolerance analysis, and stray light analysis
Preferred
Understanding automotive camera requirements
Experience with camera module development at high volume
Experience working with contract manufacturing partners
Programming experience with Python
Familiarity with camera image signal processing (ISP) pipeline
Ability to work at a fast pace and collaborate well with cross functional teams
Detailed oriented and demonstrating a structured work style
Outstanding communication skills
