Responsibilities

Execute protein production activities (expression and purification of protein targets, complex formation, etc)

Run biophysical experiments including, but not limited to SPR, DLS, DSF, etc

Set up crystallization trays using crystallization workcell and prepare crystals for data collection

Prepare grid samples for cryoEM data collection

Required

Must be a pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D degree

A foundational knowledge of proteins and protein structure

This position requires full-time commitment, necessitating five days of on-site work at the Cambridge site

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member

Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and including work in biosafety hoods

Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for BL2 safety levels, such as safety glasses, gloves, closed toe shoes, etc

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later

The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
