Assistant Researcher

Responsibilities
Develop and lead a nationally recognized research program in harm reduction and related areas
Secure extramural funding through federal agencies, foundations, and other sources
Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals
Present findings at national and international conferences
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across UCSF and external partners
Participate in departmental and university service activities
Mentor predoctoral students
Direct patient care in harm reduction and addiction medicine settings
Program development and implementation within healthcare systems
Interdisciplinary collaboration with medical, nursing, and social work professionals
Qualification
Required
PharmD-prepared clinician-scientist
Demonstrated expertise in harm reduction research and clinical practice
Strong publication record
Experience with grant funding
Commitment to advancing health equity through innovative pharmaceutical care models
Ability to develop and lead a nationally recognized research program in harm reduction and related areas
Ability to secure extramural funding through federal agencies, foundations, and other sources
