Summer Tahoma Assistant Program Director - $475/week

Responsibilities
Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of Tahoma staff and campers
Attend and participate in all camp programs and spiritual activities
Maintain standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters
Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer
Complete and submit to the Tahoma Program Director an 'End of Summer Brief' with recommendations for the future
Assist with other duties as needed
Assume responsibility for the supervision and direction of Tahoma staff and Campers
Enforce camp policies and procedures
Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff and campers at all times
Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times
Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion
Encourage and support Tahoma staff through prayer and one-on-one meetings
Work with Tahoma Program Director to plan specific weekly duties
Assist logistician in set-up and clean-up of program activities
Assist with registration day duties and medical screening of campers
Work with TPD and counselors in assignment of camper groups
Assist in leading campfire programs
Assist in leading camper devotionals
Attend small group times of each counselor weekly
Plan and implement evening activities in conjunction with TPD and logistician
Participate in daily staff devotion/prayer time
Assist in night watch duties
Assist in camper discipline and re-direction when necessary
Ensure the safety of campers and staff on out-trips through consistent and continual evaluation of campers, staff and environmental concerns
Instruct campers and staff on the proper use of backpacks, stoves, tents, etc
Assist in the operation of the Challenge Course as assigned by the Assistant Camp Director
Assist in leading debrief with Tahoma staff at the conclusion of each session. Take minutes at meeting
Assist in performing inventory of Tahoma program supplies and equipment at the start and finish of summer and each week. Ensure equipment is maintained and in good repair at all times
Lead and/or delegate weekly clean-up and assignment of duties for following week
Keep record of weekly cabin inspection and cabin competition points
Any and all other duties required to provide a consistently excellent program
Qualification
Required
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead
Ability to operate telephone
Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to access and produce information from a computer
Ability to understand written information

2 weeks annually accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation eligible for use after 6 months’ service time.
