MSM Technology is seeking a highly skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to lead the design and maintenance of a large enterprise virtual desktop environment. The role requires expertise in system design, troubleshooting, and process automation while providing support and guidance on VDI technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large enterprise virtual desktop (VDI) environment

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for troubleshooting complex performance issues across the organization

Provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues

Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies

Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks

Maintain an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies

Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders

Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and 'make buy' decisions

Required

Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance

Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD)

Master's degree + 7 years experience OR 16 years experience

Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage and Virtual Desktops

Experience managing and administering Windows Servers

Experience with Azure AD, Intune, FSLogix

Experience in VDI profile management

Endpoint protection, policy management and application of STIGs

AVD integration with Office 365 services

Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services

Collaborate and work well in a team environment

Preferred

Some experience (1+ years') with any or all of these products or technologies: MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, MDM solutions (again, nice to have, not required)

Some experience (1+ years') setup and integration with IIS, SQL Server

Some experience (2+ years') with Azure Security Tools (e.g. Sentinel)
