Tahirih Justice Center is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving women, girls, and immigrant survivors of violence. The Development & Communications Intern will support fundraising efforts, digital communications, and marketing initiatives while gaining valuable experience in nonprofit operations and strategic communications.

Responsibilities

Work closely with members of the Development and Communications Team to plan and execute our signature fundraising event, including supporting with graphic design and other content creation, so experience and/or interest in graphic design is a plus

Partner with members of the Development Team to conduct donor outreach and execute stewardship strategies

Support active fundraising campaigns

Support the posting, tracking, analysis, and reporting of our social media metrics, so familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram is a must

Update our website with new content, so knowledge of HTML and WordPress is a plus

Work with subject matter experts and communications staff to draft emails, social media content, web posts, and other types of communications that break down complex topics into accessible and compelling content

Work with the Development and Communications Team to implement activities to help us engage with our audiences and create content for outreach and fundraising campaigns

Assist with other communications and fundraising activities as needed
