Lighting Designer/Engineer Intern/Co-op Summer 2026 - CMTA

The Lighting Designer/Engineer Intern will assist in all aspects of project development, including energy calculations and producing construction documents for LED lighting upgrades.

Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of the project development phase – including site visits, building audits
Energy calculations in relation to lighting upgrades
Produce detailed construction documents using CAD for LED lighting upgrades
Support material procurement and construction management staff during implementation of lighting upgrades
Field verify proper installation and implementation of LED lighting upgrades

Required

Pursuing a BSEE, preferably a sophomore (2nd year), or junior (3rd year)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Ability to travel for field work

Preferred

CAD experience is helpful but not required
