Coherent Corp. is a global leader in lasers and engineered materials, seeking a Test Technician to perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of laser modules and electronic circuits. The role involves preparing technical reports, operating computer systems for testing, and supporting Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of laser modules, electronic circuits, and mechanical assemblies

Work with free-space optical components - test and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems

May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing

Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems

Operate computer systems for testing of product and report writing

Use lasers, monochromators, optics, DMM/DVMs, arbitrary waveform generators, power supplies, oscilloscopes, LabView software, current sources, laser beam analyzers, optical power meters, and other proprietary tools to perform tests and calibrations

Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives

Contribute to control of inventory and work order management

Required

Day shift with flexible start schedule

Standing and/or sitting workstation

Lifting 5-10 pounds regularly

PPE including ESD smock, ESD foot-grounding straps, and safety glasses
