IMMIGRATION SERVICES ANALYST

Responsibilities
Serves as an analyst and advisor to the Assistant Regional Director of the Performance Management Program or Records Management Program within the Regional Office
Assesses day-to-day operations in production and performance management and assists in issues resolution
Provides direction and assists with implementation of a variety of performance management initiatives, such as production, records, and adjudication progress reports, or deployment of new reporting mechanisms
Extracts data from multiple USCIS operating systems and conducts in-depth analyses regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of Field Office adjudicative processes, productivity, and utilization of resources against established performance metrics
Develops presentable summary reports to assess office efficiency and operational status
Provides recommendations for innovations in data collection procedures and enhanced reporting mechanisms to more effectively measure District and Field Office performance
Provides recommendations and justifications to senior leadership regarding field office staffing levels, workload distribution and resource allocation to meet USCIS production and customer service goals
Qualification
Required
You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position
Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure
You must pass a drug screening
You must submit resume and supporting documentation
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service
You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government
Performing a variety of analytical studies and projects related to adjudicative and process improvement, immigration benefits administration, performance and productivity improvement, and internal and quality controls
Overseeing management of information systems that focus on policies and programs related to agency goals
Conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive USCIS operating systems and/or programs that required applying knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques
Resolving broad and/or complex problems and issues associated with the planning, coordination, and implementation of agency programs and activities
