The Floating Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the buildings and residential spaces, responding to service requests, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant units
Repair/Replace appliances, plumbing and air conditioning/heating/electrical systems as needed
Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments
Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins
Work on-call as scheduled, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary and approved by manager
Perform tasks and operate machinery in a safe manner and in compliance with safety procedures
Complete grounds work, such as grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping
Perform other duties as requested to support property operations

Required

High school Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years' general residential maintenance experience
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems
Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations
Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and afterhours as necessary, Tuesday-Saturday schedule
Strong communication and customer service skills
Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites within bay area portfolio
