Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections of equipment, building systems and incident scenes
Identify cause and origin of failures across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, machinery and consumer products
Complete engineering calculations, review drawings and evaluate compliance with relevant codes
Assist with fire and explosion investigations that involve mechanical systems
Produce well structured written reports and support senior experts in presenting findings to clients
Work directly with clients while helping to strengthen relationships through reliable technical delivery

Qualification

Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer licenceForensic investigationMechanical systems experienceCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Professional Engineer licence in Michigan, or eligibility to obtain shortly after joining
Two to ten years' experience in mechanical systems, machinery, HVAC or product related engineering
Strong communication skills and confidence in client facing work

Preferred

Previous forensic or field investigation exposure is valuable
