Responsibilities
Lead and manage 1-2 direct reports, providing guidance and mentorship
Review and approval of daily cash, operating, investment, and capital transactions for the Private Equity Funds
Monitor the liquidity of the funds on a weekly basis, including review and approval of payables
Manage the quarterly and annual close process – ensuring accurate and timely quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules are produced according to a quarterly close schedule
Manage investor reporting and requests, including capital calls, distributions and reporting
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Calculate benchmarks and rates of returns and other performance metrics as needed
Support valuation, investor relations and other cross-functional teams with financial data
Research and assist in determining the proper accounting treatments for transactions/investments
Liaison with the audit service provider and ensure all deliverables are met for the annual audit of the Private Equity Funds
Interact with the investment team on accounting and administrative matters, as needed
Lead or assist with special projects, as needed
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required
8+ years of relevant working experience
Firm has a limited work-from-home policy, allowing on average 2 work from home days per month; must be willing to work in office according to the firm's policy
Preferred
Direct experience at a private equity fund highly preferred
Existing experience managing direct reports is highly preferred
