Rural King is America’s Farm and Home Store, providing essentials to the communities we serve. The Senior Project Manager will lead Rural King’s IT project management function, overseeing initiatives that drive digital transformation and omni-channel growth across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple concurrent workstreams

Establish consistent project management standards, templates, and communication frameworks

Partner with IT leadership to align resources, timelines, and deliverables with strategic objectives

Manage enterprise technology initiatives involving digital commerce platforms, order management systems, product information management tools, and cloud-based data platforms

Provide oversight on requirements gathering, sprint planning, testing, and cross-functional collaboration

Identify risks, dependencies, and process gaps while driving continuous improvement

Report on project performance, budgets, and KPIs to IT and executive stakeholders

Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts supporting both e-commerce and omni-channel initiatives

Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the project management and business analysis teams

Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program

Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments

Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively

Required

7+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity

Proven success managing complex digital or omni-channel technology initiatives

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Jira-based project tracking, and software delivery lifecycles

Experience leading or mentoring project managers and business analysts

Ability to provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and motivate team member to deliver high quality results

Familiarity with enterprise commerce systems, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics platforms

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution oversight

Results-driven, adaptable, and capable of influencing across multiple organizational levels

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, foster relationships, and collaborate effectively

Proficiency in adapting communication style and tone to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels within the organization

Effectively articulate expectations, requirements, and boundaries while actively listing to other's perspectives
