Traffic Management Specialist (Deployable)
The Defense Logistics Agency is looking for a Traffic Management Specialist (Deployable) in Tracy, CA. This role involves developing functional requirements and policies for transportation programs, briefing officials on transportation status, and maintaining distribution route plans.

Responsibilities
Serves as the specialist and technical advisor in the development of general and detailed functional requirements and policies for transportation/traffic management programs for a DLA Distribution Deployable Center
Briefs high level officials and visitors on the status of transportation routes and plans
Maintains the Distribution Route Plans for customers supported by the Deployable Center team
Identifies problem areas and coordinates with those involved in order to resolve problems and update computer files. Provides technical advice and responds to questions relating to the computer file
Serves as main focal point for the Automated Identification Technology (AIT) to include the use of Automated Manifest System (AMS), Distribution Standard System (DSS), and Radio Frequency Tags in support of the Distribution Deployable Center

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
Creditable specialized experience includes: Participates in special studies and projects concerning transportation alternatives in order to evaluate the effectiveness of shipment and transportation programs
Conducts review and analysis of distribution of tonnage, service by carriers, traffic patterns, and transportation funding requirements
Education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education
If using education to meet basic qualifications, YOU MUST SUBMIT A TRANSCRIPT as supplemental documentation
To qualify based on education in lieu of specialized experience, you must possess: a Ph.D or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for grade levels GS-11
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social)
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
