Responsibilities

Perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations

Installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing avionics components

Maintaining test equipment, tools, and manuals

DOES NOT NEED SECRET CLEARANCE DAY 1 BUT NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED FOR ONE PRIOR TO START AND ABLE TO MAINTAIN IT WHILE ON THE JOB

Must have own tools in good working order

Ability to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications

Ability to route wires per technical drawings

Avionics Technician II: Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques

Avionics Technician III & IV: Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years for Level II, 5 or more for Level III and 10 or more for Level IV of relevant experience

A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
