Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive test plans, test strategy, and execution approach for POS projects

Create and execute high-level test cases covering critical business flows across POS modules

Establish and maintain lab environments including POS terminals, printers, handhelds, KDS, pin pads, and scanners

Functional & Integration Testing for: 1. POS configurations (menus, pricing, taxes, payments, discounts, loyalty). 2. End-to-end transactions (guest checks, multi-tender payments, KDS/printers, employee & labor management)

Test receipt printers, scanners, handhelds, pin pads, and other connected devices

Validate transaction data, POS workstation DB sync, and central reporting DB accuracy

Log, track, and manage defects in Azure DevOps, ensuring proper triage and resolution

Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps teams on POS deployments in Kubernetes/Docker environments

Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

Provide status reporting on test progress, risks, and deliverables

Required

QA experience in POS testing (retail/restaurant/entertainment)

Proven experience in test planning, test case authoring, and defect logging/tracking (preferably in Azure DevOps)

Strong understanding of POS configurations: menus, pricing, taxes, tenders, discounts

Hands-on experience with POS Lab setup and hardware testing

Proficiency in database testing

Knowledge of Cloud applications, Kubernetes, and Docker deployments

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology

Preferred

POS upgrade or migration testing experience

Exposure to multi-location POS rollouts
