Senior Aerospace Repair Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aerospace Repair Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling complex aerospace components while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems in accordance with FAA, EASA, and OEM standards
Lead complex repair tasks involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems
Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives with expert accuracy
Conduct root-cause analysis on component failures and collaborate with engineering teams to drive corrective actions
Operate precision tools, test equipment, calibration devices, and specialized machinery
Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures
Mentor and guide junior technicians, offering technical training and skill development
Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and compliance expectations
Support continuous improvement projects and recommend process enhancements
Communicate repair status, timelines, and issues to supervisors and cross-functional team

Qualification

Aerospace maintenance experienceFAA Part 145 knowledgePrecision tools proficiencyA&P LicenseLean Six Sigma knowledgeProblem-solving skillsAttention to detailMentoring ability

Required

10+ years of aerospace maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience, preferably in an MRO or manufacturing environment
Extensive hands-on expertise with complex components (e.g., actuators, landing gear, control surfaces, avionics enclosures, engine subcomponents—adjust as needed)
Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 requirements or equivalent regulatory frameworks
Proficiency with precision tools, testing instruments, and calibration processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents with exceptional accuracy
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor technical teams
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety
High attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision

Preferred

Prior experience in a senior or lead technician role
Military aviation maintenance background
A&P License or equivalent certification
Experience working with OEM-approved repair data
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
