The Wall Street Journal is part of Dow Jones & Company, and they are seeking an Associate Director of Retention Marketing. This role involves leading subscriber retention analysis and strategies across B2C brands, focusing on forecasting retention performance and optimizing customer journeys.

Responsibilities
Report out retention insights through detailed cohort analysis of the full B2C subscriber base, in partnership with the data science team, to develop new retention strategies as well as optimize existing customer journeys
Develop processes to turn insights and analyses into actionable strategies across pricing, communications, and customer experience, to increase retention and LTV
Partner with the subscriber acquisition team to optimize the full funnel, across all cohorts and introductory offers, with the goal of driving long-term retention
Lead all retention forecasting in partnership with data science and finance. Drive the business narrative behind retention performance for individual subscriber cohorts and optimize strategies to grow revenue through improved retention
Own the expense budget process for the retention team across all Dow Jones B2C subscriber cohorts
Focus on retainment of wealth and investing subscriptions through a personalized retention journey and strategy
Manage one Retention Manager to execute retention strategies, and oversee end-to-end UI/UX experimentations from concept to implementation to distilling resulting data
Qualification
Required
The willingness and ability to work in our midtown Manhattan office 3 days every week
10 years of experience working in customer/subscriber retention with a focus on building subscriber insights through cohort analysis and turning these into actionable strategies
Demonstrated ability to increase revenue through complex pricing strategies
Experience leading retention forecasting and budgeting
Expertise in subscription-based businesses
Experience managing a 7-figure P&L budget
Experience with analytics software (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Tableau)
Outstanding quantitative reasoning skills
A bachelor's degree in marketing or business administration required
