Lead R&D Engineer - Switchgear

Provide is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead R&D Engineer specializing in Low Voltage systems. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing low voltage systems and products while collaborating with a dynamic team of engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of low voltage electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Conduct research and feasibility studies to explore new technologies and methodologies in low voltage applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive product development from concept to production
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and components into existing products to enhance performance and efficiency
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support and guidance
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low voltage engineering

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in R&D with a focus on low voltage systems

Proven experience in project management and leading engineering teams
Proficiency in CAD software and electrical simulation tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
Experience with regulatory standards such as IEC, UL, and NEC
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

Experience with IoT and smart grid technologies
Familiarity with renewable energy systems and energy storage technologies
Knowledge of machine learning applications in electrical engineering
