Responsibilities
Collects parking fees from customers
Receives and verifies correct change fund
Operates an electronic cash register or time clock to compute fees manually
Completes daily reports for assigned zone
Verifies and counts money and number of parking tickets collected; turns in daily receipts to fiscal office
Monitors assigned parking lot and informs management of any unusual situations or incidents
Operates two-way communication radio
Responds to customer complaints and accidents, speaking with and listening to determine best way to address customer concerns
Provides customers with directions and information as needed
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License
Knowledge of cashiering procedures
Knowledge of basic mathematical computations
Skill in operating a cash register
Ability to resolve problems
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to establish and maintain good public relations
Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations
Preferred
Cashier or cash handling experience is highly desirable
