Responsibilities
Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects supporting hospitals, clinics, service lines, and Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts
Define project scope and requirements
Develop and maintain standard project artifacts
Manage risks and issues
Drive stakeholder communication
Ensure adherence to PMO and PMBOK best practices
Oversee multiple simultaneous initiatives
Support portfolio and budget planning
Contribute to PMO process improvements
Mentor junior project managers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience in project management
7+ years of experience with EHR systems
5+ years of experience with Epic Application Modules
5+ years of experience directly working within a PMO
5+ years of experience with software systems implementation lifecycle
5+ years of experience in Waterfall project methodology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment
Ability to exercise sound political and environmental judgment as appropriate to support successful project implementation
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing the mitigating risks through risk planning
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude with a deep commitment to customer satisfaction
PMP Certification is required
Preferred
Agile methodology experience is a plus
CSM Certification is a plus
