Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy intern will engage in the practice of pharmacy which includes the interpretation of prescription orders, compounding, packaging, labeling, dispensing, and the coincident distribution of prescription drugs or devices containing drugs such as inhalers
Under the supervision of a pharmacist the Intern may also participate in 1) the provision of pharmaceutical care, 2) drug utilization review; 3) ensuring the proper and safe storage of drugs and devices; 4) maintenance of records of drugs and devices, 5) provision of patient counseling
Qualification
Required
Current Florida License as Intern Pharmacist
Pharm.D. from an accredited school of Pharmacy, or proper registration as an intern through an accredited Foreign Graduate pharmacy program
