Responsibilities

Provides professional engineering oversight for all the customer’s facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design. Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical engineering

Responsible for oversight of the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software

Writes electrical specifications and makes electrical diagrams and drawings

Tests and troubleshoots various mechanical and electrical systems

Provides technical support and instruction to organization members

Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects

Evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans

Work cohesively with other engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer’s goals, objectives, and security requirements

Manage/support/coordinate programming, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of facilities

Other responsibilities include: Project Management & Project Schedules, Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation, Concept Creation / Space and Layout Planning, Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation
