PTR Global is a leading provider of information technology and workforce solutions. They are seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst (Data Engineer/Architect) to define data architecture, establish governance frameworks, and develop reliable ETL solutions to support critical business processes.

Responsibilities

Define the data architecture vision aligned with business goals

Establish data standards, policies, and governance frameworks

Provide technical guidance to development teams

Communicate data architecture decisions to executives and non-technical teams

Design, Develop and maintain secure, consistent and reliable ETL solutions supporting critical business processes across the various Business Units

Develop and perform tests and validate data flows and prepare ETL processes to meet complex business requirements, including designing and implementing of complex end-to-end solutions using BI platforms

Partner with various infrastructure teams, application teams, and architects to generate process designs and complex transformations to various data elements to provide the Business with insights into their business processes

Assist production support team in providing resolutions to production job failures, data issues and performance tuning

Required

Excellent communication skills is an absolute must for effective collaboration with various stakeholders

Strong understanding of Data warehousing (Dimensional Modeling, ETL etc.) and RDBMS concepts

Minimum 5 years working experience with an ETL tool such as Talend, Informatica, etc

Minimum 5 years working experience in SQL, Stored Procedures and Table Design

Minimum 5 years working experience in SQL Query optimization and ETL Data loading Performance

5+ Years of experience hands on as a Data Engineer/Architect

Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalency (Required)

Experience in information Technology, a business/technology consulting firm, or a utility business group

IT experience in a large-scale environment, across multiple hardware and software platforms, or business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale systems
