DIRECTOR OF JOINT TRAINING AND EXERCISE
USAJOBS is seeking a Director of Joint Training and Exercise for the Department of the Air Force. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of the J7 Joint Training and Exercise Directorate at Alaskan Command, responsible for directing the activities of the Directorate.

Responsibilities
Serves as the Director of the Joint Training and Exercise Directorate at ALCOM, planning, organizing, and managing the activities of the directorate. Directs command-wide joint training and exercise activities
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents the Joint Training and Exercise Directorate with a variety of command and functional area organizations

Males must be registered for Selective Service
A Top Secret/Special Sensitive clearance is required for this position
Employee is required to submit an initial and annual OGE/SF-450 (Financial Disclosure) in accordance with the Joint Ethics Regulation
A valid driver's license is required for the position
Employee may be required to work and/or be 'on call' after normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends or holidays
Knowledge of joint training and exercise functions, operations, policies, procedures, and practices and the concepts, theories, and practices of the specialist work performed in the subordinate organizations
Knowledge of personnel management, EEO, and safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-14, or equivalent in other pay systems
This is a Supervisory Position. A 1 year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty (TDY). The employee will be required to perform approximately 60 days TDY per year attending meetings, conferences, exercises, and seminars
This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing
This is a KEY position IAW 32 CFR, Part 44 Appendix A and DoD Directive 1200.7. A Key Position is a Federal position that cannot be vacated during a war, national emergency, or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency to function effectively
