Hand Solder Operator- Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

Manually assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to manufacturing instructions and schematics
Precisely solder components, wires, and other parts to circuit boards, ensuring strong electrical and mechanical connections
Conduct quality inspections of soldered boards for defects, such as bad joints, bridging, or component placement errors
Perform minor rework and repairs on circuit boards as needed
Pull up documentation required to perform work on customer assemblies
Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements
Responsible for the proper handling of product and components
Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
Maintain necessary records
Perform other assignments as required

Required

Proven experience in hand soldering electronic components onto circuit boards
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions
Proficiency with soldering irons, and other hand soldering tools
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, schematics, and diagrams
Familiarity with electronic components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, etc.) and their proper handling
Experience with different types of solder and flux
Intermediate level computer skills
HS Diploma or GED
Must be able to successfully pass IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications

Preferred

IPC Certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001) are a plus
