Responsibilities
Leads the application of internal software deployment platform, continuous integration or continuous delivery pipeline and twelve factor development methodology to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases
Partners with cross functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
Writes and maintains complex unit tests and integration tests, and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software, applying test driven development as needed
Recommends options for improving the software development and deployment processes, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability
Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations
Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience
Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience
Preferred
Proven experience with API management platforms such as Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee, or equivalent technologies
Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies
Expertise in API lifecycle management, including design, publishing, versioning, and retirement
Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect)
Proficiency in automation and scripting for API deployment and configuration (Python, Shell, Ansible)
Familiarity with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for API platforms
Knowledge of monitoring and analytics for API performance and usage (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
Exposure to cloud-native API solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead complex API platform initiatives
