Responsibilities
Conduct workflow observations and assist with deep-dive analyses across departments (Recovery, Client Ops, Contract Management, Denials, etc.) to identify inefficiencies and redundant steps
Document and map key revenue cycle processes end-to-end under the guidance of senior team members
Quantify time, cost, and error impacts to help prioritize high-value optimization opportunities
Help identify where AI (LLMs, predictive analytics, RPA, etc.) may improve accuracy, speed, or margin
Collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, and AI teams to support pilot automation concepts within our Azure-based RCM environment
Assist in preparing business cases for potential automations, including defining metrics and expected impact
Build and maintain dashboards or reports that evaluate the impact of implemented automations (e.g., time saved, dollars recovered, denials reduced)
Validate results against baseline KPIs and flag discrepancies
Summarize findings for leadership, highlighting measurable improvements
Act as a connector between technical teams and operational stakeholders by helping translate business needs into technical requirements
Support training efforts and user adoption as new AI-driven workflows are deployed
Gather user feedback and assist with iterative process improvements
Contribute ideas that support the broader AI roadmap, including “talk to your data” and “GPT for RCM” initiatives
Conduct market and internal research to help shape future automation opportunities
Assist in documentation supporting the development of an AI & Automation Center of Excellence
Qualification
Required
Experience in healthcare operations, RCM, healthcare finance, consulting, data analysis, or process improvement
Familiarity with SQL-based data environments (comfortable running queries or learning to)
Exposure to AI tools (ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI, etc.) or a strong desire to learn how AI can be applied in healthcare workflows
Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to break down complex processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work with both technical and business teams
Preferred
Lean Six Sigma, analytics coursework, or automation experience is a plus but not required
