Responsibilities
Determine Plating requirements
Recording ID and OD sizes
Setting up gage blocks
Setting up ID and OD gages
Locating dimensional specification in the overhaul engine manuals
Inspection of plated bearings
All task involved in plating (cleaning, masking, sandblasting, plating)
Verifying proper buy-off of previous operations on job traveler
Setting up, measure, and recording hardness inspection
Documenting and filling out rejection tags
Creating rework routers in Epicor
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma with 1+ yrs. prior experience at bearing inspection; or manufacturing/aerospace
Attention to detail in completing work task
Demonstrated computer aptitude
Able to understand use of calibrated measuring equipment while performing Dimensional Inspection
Interpret Bearing Repair Engine Manuals
Aptitude basic shop math
Must be fully trained in plating and attain their nickel brush plating certificate
