TRC Companies, Inc. is a pioneer in providing innovative engineering solutions. They are seeking a Project Assistant I to provide inspection services supporting various programs in California, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and schedule inspections with the host customers, grouping multiple customers to minimize travel time between sites

Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of new energy generation, storage, or controls equipment

Follow TRC safety protocols

Document findings using TRC’s digital data collection tools

Complete findings report within one week of site visit and submit for quality control review

Maintain the correct status of a project in TRC’s Tracking Database

Coordinate workflow with other inspectors

Require approximately 50% travel time (visiting customer sites around Northern California and Central Valley)

Occasional in-office collaboration with the team located in San Francisco, CA

Required

Strong customer service and client relationship management skills and enthusiasm for energy conservation

Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Computer proficiency, experience with Windows-based office applications required

Comfortable handling and using a ladder to access roof top equipment

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Valid driver's license

Preferred

Academic and / or professional experience displaying a strong interest in sustainability and green building is a strong plus

Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems is a strong plus
