Test Development Engineer (LabView)
Comrise is a global R&D organization within the healthcare and medical devices industry, seeking a Test Development Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing LabView-based test automation tools and supporting next-generation subsystems.
Responsibilities
Develop LabView-based test automation tools and data acquisition interfaces for subsystem characterization
Integrate internal LabView utilities for sensor/motor control and build automation solutions across subsystems
Design and prototype test hardware and fixtures; apply CAD tools (NX preferred)
Customize test sequences, test definitions, and DOEs; collaborate with engineering teams to implement updates on test instruments
Apply signal analysis, data analysis, and basic electrical circuit knowledge to support subsystem testing
Contribute to prototype development and new test platform concepts
Partner with mechatronics, mechanical, and test engineering teams to develop integrated test solutions
Participate in design reviews, identify risks, and recommend innovative technical solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
Expert-level LabView experience (required)
Basic to intermediate CAD experience (NX preferred)
Experience designing and developing test hardware and fixtures
2–15+ years of relevant experience (all levels considered based on background and education)
Strong fundamentals in measurement systems, signal analysis, and mechanical/electrical engineering principles
Intermediate to expert proficiency in NI LabView, including instrument control, DAQ, and test automation
Familiarity with DOE, data analysis, and statistical methods
A systems-thinking approach to solving complex engineering problems
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the contract

Experience in medical devices, aerospace, automotive, robotics, factory automation, or precision instruments
