Responsibilities
Collaboratively design and develop electrical hardware components from concept to launch, interfacing with cross-functional partners and leading the mechanical design and integration in our next-generation vehicles
Validation build, test, and analysis of our future components. Document test processes and results
Complete root cause analysis of failures and issues found in assembly and testing
Tolerance analysis for new component and fixture designs
Benchmarking studies on new products and components for evaluating best-in-class designs
Lead supplier discussions on all mechanical design and development tasks to meet program milestones
Demonstrate curiosity and high learning agility
Exhibit 'Rivian Compass' values in everything you do
Qualification
Required
3 years of experience in Automotive or equivalent or Masters Degree
B.S degree (or above), in mechanical engineering, or relevant equivalent experience
CAD experience, ideally Catia V6
Great problem-solving and communication skills
Basic knowledge of GD&T
Strong understanding of engineering first principles
Ability to self-direct while managing ambiguity
