Responsibilities
Lead a diverse team of project managers responsible for localizing Apple software releases
Define goals, set priorities, and inspire experienced project managers to deliver their best work
Own the overall localization quality of each release and act as a champion for international issues
Partner with teams around the world to schedule engineering, translation, and QA resources aligned with product schedules
Drive the prioritization and resolution of localizability issues across software engineering
Evangelize localization considerations across the company to ensure products are designed with international customers in mind
Define and drive localization process and tool improvements that increase quality, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs
Scale localization systems and workflows to support global product launches at Apple’s pace and scale
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex software projects at scale
Strong knowledge of internationalization, localization, and translation management systems
Exceptional cross-functional communication and influence skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with global teams
Experience solving complex problems through software tools and processes
Demonstrated ability to scale localization processes, tools, and teams to support global product launches
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
Extensive experience in software project management, ideally with global software releases
Solid technical understanding of software product development
Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
