Responsibilities
You will manage full-cycle recruitment across Engineering, Product roles in the US and LATAM region — from intake through offer
You will work with hiring managers, HR Partners, and senior leaders to define needs, build strategies, and accomplish hiring outcomes
Use tools like LinkedIn Recruiter to source top talent and build diverse pipelines
Translate market research into applicable hiring strategies, including competitor insights, compensation trends, and talent availability
Lead the candidate experience, ensuring communication, smooth process flow, and understanding of Avalara's brand
Experience using AI tools and recruiting technology to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency throughout the hiring lifecycle
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including interview process design, DEI programs, and talent analytics
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional experience in full-cycle recruiting, with experience supporting AI first SaaS organizations engineering, and products of business
Experience leading full-cycle recruiting for specialized AI, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering roles across research and applied engineering teams
Experience with AI technologies, including machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), large language models, data science workflows, and cloud-based ML infrastructure
Experience recruiting within EMEA and LATAM regions, with an understanding of local talent markets
Experience using advanced sourcing techniques (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow, technical communities, boolean searches) to identify and engage passive talent
Experience advising senior team members on hiring decisions, market insights, and strategy
Incorporate AI tools into recruiting workflows
Demonstrated recruiting experience using AI-driven platforms, including Paradox, HiredScore, and BrightHire, to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate engagement
Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise-level ATS platforms
