Responsibilities
Provides English instruction to support students with occupational training, certification, workforce preparation, civics, and job placement
Delivers group and individual instruction to adult learners
Creates standards-based and rigorous lessons relevant to the needs and goals of students
Participates in curriculum and program development
Adapts teaching styles and materials to meet students’ individual needs
Models lifelong learning to students
Facilitates the student’s journey from recruitment, intake, and orientation to licensure, job placement and beyond
Connects learners with various support services, ensuring student retention, achievement, and success
Conducts daily data entry using program databases and maintains students’ confidentiality
Qualification
Required
BA in Education or similar required
1+ years teaching experience required
Experience working with the adult-learning population
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong technology knowledge
Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic issues
Preferred
A teaching certificate
An interest or background in the Health Care field
