They are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with strong analytical skills to support the conversion of legacy Cognos reports to Power BI, collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and providing technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Function as a consultant to our internal business partners regarding technology and process solutions
Facilitate finding, developing, and implementing viable technology solutions for our business partners by working with teammates, IT groups within the company, external service providers, and business partners
Provide guidance to our internal business partners by knowing what technologies are available to solve complex requirements
Interface with internal business partners, IT groups, and external service providers to implement new systems and modify existing systems
Facilitate and lead requirements workshops
Functionally deconstruct, analyze, and document our internal business partners’ systems, problems, processes, and needs
Define business requirements and test cases using structured methodologies
Effectively lead documentation of business requirements, test cases, use cases, and design thinking exercises
Provide written and verbal updates on projects and solutions to IT and business management
Develop and deliver training on new or revised system functionality to raise awareness, educate users, and support personnel
Qualification
Required
Prior experience with systems migration – ability to review current environments, plan migration strategy, build new reports, test and validate new reports
Experience with Power BI Desktop
Experience with Power BI Report Builder – Power BI Semantic model
Medium to advanced SQL writing abilities
Excellent Communication skills is a must. Must be confident collaborating with Business for analysis, feedback, giving presentation, etc
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Expert in all aspects of the System Analyst role
Exceptional understanding of the SA skillset and toolset
Solid understanding of modern computing technologies
Ability to collaborate successfully with clients to understand their business needs and convert their requirements into system specifications
Ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation) with internal business partners, IT personnel, and external service providers
Develop new and innovative processes to facilitate the move of client into the exciting opportunity with wind energy
