Väderstad AB is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist in improving product fit and finish as well as manufacturing processes. The role involves researching, designing, and implementing manufacturing equipment and optimizing existing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and implement manufacturing equipment (fixtures, tools, machines)
Product/component simplification and standardization which included analysis of existing components, research on alternatives and design of new component layouts
Investigate, evaluate, document, and optimize existing manufacturing processes
The idea is that each intern works on a project that is tailored to the specific skills and interests of the candidate

Required

Must be enrolled in an Engineering degree program
Mechanically inclined
Strong Communication and organizational skills

Must Work well individually and as part of a team
Ability to think critically and analytically

Preferred

Mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree program preferred
Experience with Creo, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD system preferred
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite preferred
