Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack web applications that process millions of transactions daily
Establish a clear vision for your team and generate urgency to deliver exceptional experiences for our creators and viewers
Keep your people development radar always on; articulate behaviors and impacts that accelerate careers and build world-class engineering talent
Quickly dissect the nuances of complex trade-offs, making conscious architectural and product choices while overcoming technical and organizational challenges
Constructively parse, ingest, challenge, and reframe proposals and plans to drive better outcomes
Adjust gracefully to changing priorities while maintaining team energy, focus, and delivery momentum
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
5+ years of experience in software development
Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design at scale
Proven ability to attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent
Willingness to accept feedback from teammates and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Track record of leading teams to design, implement, and operate consumer-facing applications with high reliability requirements
Experience using Agile development methodologies to deliver iteratively and respond to changing needs
Preferred
Experience as a Senior Engineer designing, implementing, and operating distributed applications in production environments
Familiarity with payment systems, financial infrastructure, or e-commerce platforms
Experience with Twitch, either as a viewer or creator (or both!)
