Responsibilities
Serve as lead engineer for bridges and other structures, including new construction, inspection, repair, and rehabilitation projects. This includes leading, assigning and reviewing work and providing technical guidance to the team
Collaborates with colleagues in other offices and different areas of expertise
Review technical packages as part of our internal quality program
Review technical packages from other consultants as owner’s representative
Deliver quality plans, calculations, and specifications on schedule
Complete bridge inspections and load ratings with associated reports
Assists in preparing proposals for various pursuits
Assist with preparation of scope and fee proposals for structures work
Represents the firm at professional organizations and conferences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
10 or more years' bridge design experience
5 or more years' ODOT experience
Registrations/Certifications required: Ohio PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
A valid driver's license
Preferred
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Experience with Design-Build projects
ODOT Level 2 Bridge Inspection Certification
