2+ years expSkills Alliance Enterprise is seeking a passionate and skilled Cell Biologist to join their CDoT High Content Imaging group. The role involves driving the development and execution of novel cell-based assays for drug discovery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to state-of-the-art imaging projects.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute robust cell-based assays for drug discovery, including target validation and lead optimization
Culture, derive, and maintain a diverse range of cell lines and primary cells with high precision and adherence to sterile technique
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic projects and ensure that research plans, timelines, and deliverables are met
Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, clearly presenting research plans and results to internal teams
Innovate and implement new cellular assay methods and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic research environment
Produce and interpret complex data sets through single-cell image analysis for chemical and genetic perturbation studies
Partner with the CDoT automation team to ensure smooth execution of high-throughput screening (HTS) protocols, involving the use of advanced plate handling, imaging equipment, and robotics
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in cell biology or chemical biology or a related field with 2-3 years of relevant laboratory experience, or a master's degree with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience in culturing, deriving, and maintaining various mammalian cell lines
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to meet aggressive project goals
Preferred
Experience with plate-based assays and execution of high-throughput screening (HTS) campaigns
Familiarity with and willingness to work with complex laboratory automation and liquid handling systems
Experience with advanced techniques such as High-Content Imaging (HCI), advanced microscopy, and core molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, cloning, lentiviral transduction)
Experience with data analysis and visualization using coding languages (e.g., Python, R)
