Senior IT Architect

Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical requirements
Design end-to-end software architectures that align with best practices for scalability, reliability, and efficiency
Suggests solutions to problems presented that fit within the operating limitations of equipment
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
Maintain the confidential nature of matters pertaining to company records and policies
Mentor development teams and foster a culture of technical excellence
Ensure best practices and standards are followed by the team
Lead architecture reviews and drive modernization initiatives for the team
Oversee the implementation of mission-critical systems, ensuring seamless integration
Customize software solutions to address unique business challenges
Ensure systems meet the business needs of users by acting as a liaison and collaborating with users and user representatives regarding system change requests and specific business requirements design
Partner with the team and end users to update program and training documentation to assist with communication across the organization
Drive quick resolution for any production issues to mitigate current impacts
Optimize performance by leveraging technologies such as microservices, APIs, and cloud services
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance within the architecture
Provide technical guidance to development teams during the software development lifecycle
Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) experiments to validate architectural decisions
Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks
Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior
Create a culture of inclusion within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct
Qualification
Required
8+ years proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role leading in the design and delivery of software development/technology products
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise and make recommendations, provide assistance, or help with planning from a basis of personal expertise where no formal or direct reporting relationship exists
Speaks effectively and clearly with the ability to influence others in both positive and negative circumstances and produce the best outcome
Ability to negotiate successfully with vendors to secure the most favorable terms for Caesars
Creates an environment of teamwork and cooperation
Responds quickly and effectively to a changing business environment
Familiarity with DevOps and Microservices principles, SQL & NOSQL databases, cloud platforms, and Java, C#, and/or JavaScript
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks
Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns, and security frameworks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience
