ERP Configuration Analyst

Responsibilities

Configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP modules across functional areas (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, Sales, etc)
Develop and deploy new processes and configurations to meet business needs
Provide support, implement fixes, and additional functionality
Analyze data and processes to identify/troubleshoot problems, and recommend preventive action
Proactively provide status on all activities to the appropriate stakeholders
Follow applicable standards, procedures, guidelines, and methodologies in the support and/or maintenance of systems
Continually strive to enhance or improve business systems processes that drive efficiency through the use of best practices
Document requirements for new functionality as required in support of various initiatives
Develop procedures, processes, and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable
Collaborate with various technical teams to evaluate design alternatives, optimize design solutions, and minimize the impact on performance
Develop and execute functional unit test cases in support of new application requirements
Work with cross-functional teams to perform test activities (e.g., integration, performance, user acceptance)
Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards
Other projects and initiatives assigned
Ensure timely resolution of production support issues and service requests by coordinating team resources
Identify recurring issues and lead root cause analysis and long-term resolution planning
Monitor SAP system performance and process effectiveness to identify opportunities for enhancement
Promote standardization and continuous improvement within the SAP functional landscape
Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and role responsibilities
Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and security teams to maintain SAP controls and documentation
Ensure ERP systems comply with internal policies, SOX controls, and industry standards for SAP processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 4+ years of experience in SAP functional roles
Strong understanding of business processes across various functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain)
Deep expertise in one or more SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HCM, etc.) and strong knowledge of SAP integration points
Experience SAP configurations and production support across diverse business processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to prioritize and able to work as a remote team member and adjust time per different time zones
Experience in defining, developing, and implementing 'operational aspects' of projects and programs - governance, tracking, and reporting
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex IT systems and processes, identify documentation needs, and propose effective solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization
Analyze the operational environment to identify trends and patterns that require problem investigation by using incident data
Must be strong in following up with the team members, other teams, and 3rd party support vendors
Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and under tight deadlines
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred

Knowledge of ITIL, ChaRM, and SOLMAN is an added advantage
Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc.) is a plus
