Foundry Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

Analyze technical documentation—including drawings, schematics, and formulas—to define required manufacturing processes and establish production benchmarks
Use statistical tools and mathematical modeling to determine labor needs, process capabilities, and throughput expectations
Collaborate with engineering and operational leaders to align on reliability criteria and quality expectations
Develop structured process flows and operational sequences that support efficient fabrication and assembly activities
Create and revise equipment and facility layouts using digital drafting tools to optimize space usage, ergonomics, and material handling
Compile and present data using charts, graphs, and visual reports to highlight downtime trends, root causes, and corrective-action progress
Review production planning information such as schedules, specifications, and customer requirements to maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational needs
Coordinate delivery timelines by assessing forecasted production levels, material availability, storage capacity, and maintenance constraints
Prepare project-related documentation including cost estimates, requisitions, timelines, tooling requirements, and equipment lists
Contribute to the achievement of organizational health and safety objectives and operational improvement targets
Provide after-hours support on an as-needed basis to assist in resolving unexpected equipment or process interruptions

Required

2–4 years in an engineering, manufacturing, or process-improvement environment
Proficiency with general business and engineering software such as Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, robotics interfaces, and industrial control applications (including PLC environments)
Certification or additional technical training can be provided as needed

Preferred

Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
